who is SAYF for?
literally anyone who wants to feel a bit safer, but we designed SAYF specifically for women. SAYF is for every woman who has ever shared her location, held her keys between her fingers, called someone on the walk home, felt anxiety when a car slows down next to her, or sent the text: “I’m home.”

It’s for runners, commuters, travellers, shift workers, uni students, mums, daughters, best friends, in-home service providers and anyone who wants an extra layer of reassurance within reach.

is it legal to carry a SAYF?

Yes. Unlike pepper spray, knives and other self-defence weapons that you generally can’t carry for protection, SAYF is a personal safety alarm designed to draw attention and help you call for support.

Ordering & Delivery

how fast will my SAYF arrive?
Orders are dispatched quickly from Queensland, Australia and travels via Aus Post. Standard Aus Post delivery timeframes apply. You'll receive a tracking number as soon as your package has been dispatched.

do you ship internationally?
No - we currently only ship locally in Australia.

can I track my order?
Yes - you'll get an Aus Post tracking number once your order ships.

Product & How It Works

how does SAYF work?
Pull the pin and SAYF sounds a 130dB alarm loud enough to stop someone in their tracks and draw attention fast. It can also be linked to your phone via Bluetooth, and when set up correctly, can trigger your phone's native SOS emergency functionality (most SOS phone features include auto-calling 000 & live location sharing to emergency contacts) when your SAYF is activated for more than 10 seconds.

To stop the alarm sound, simply reinsert the pull pin.

how loud is the alarm?
130 decibels; loud enough to be heard from afar and impossible to ignore.

does SAYF need to be connected to my phone?
SAYF needs to be connected to your phone via Bluetooth with associated SOS functionality settings enabled in order to enable your native phone emergency functionality (SOS and location-sharing features) if the alarm is activated.

The alarm itself however will still sound at full volume even if it's not connected to your phone via Bluetooth.

does the alarm work without phone reception or Wi-Fi?
The alarm sound works instantly with no phone or reception needed. The SOS/emergency contact alert feature as per your phone's native emergency functionality requires your phone to be within Bluetooth range of the device and connected via Bluetooth with associated SOS functionality enabled.

how is it activated?
Simply pull the pin to activate the alarm.

There is no app to open, no code to remember, no fumbling - just one quick motion when every second counts.

is it waterproof?
This personal safety alarm is not waterproof.

can I recharge my SAYF?
Yes. SAYF is USB-C rechargeable and comes with a USB-C recharging cord.

how long does the battery last?

The battery lasts approximately 150 days on standby time (when the alarm sound is not actiavted)

how long does it take to charge?

it takes approximately 60 minutes for a full charge.

does it have a light?
Yes. SAYF includes a built-in flashlight and strobe light, handy for walking in the dark, visibility, or drawing attention in an emergency.

is it discreet enough to carry every day?
Yes; it's small enough to clip onto a bag, keys, belt loop, or to be carried in your hand so it can go everywhere with you without feeling like "safety gear." It comes standard with a carabiner clip and a keyring, so you have multiple carry options available to you.

is there a warranty?
Yes - SAYF comes with a 12 month warranty covering manufacturing defects, backed by your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

what should I do if my order arrives damaged or faulty?
